Rachel Rogers has been an integral part of the Cobb Travel & Tourism team since October 2013. As the Vice President of Sports Sales & Engagement for CT&T and the Cobb Sports Alliance, she is at the forefront of promoting Cobb County as a premier sports tourism destination and overseeing the operations of the Cobb Sports Alliance.
Rachel’s career began with the Atlanta Braves’ Minor League affiliate, the Rome Braves, where she dedicated six seasons as the Community Relations Manager/Executive Suite Director. Her efforts were pivotal in securing the 2007 South Atlantic League All-Star game at State Mutual Stadium, enhancing the profile of the Greater Rome community.
Before her current role, Rachel served as the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Marketing and Athletic Development, as well as the Senior Woman Administrator at Shorter University. During her tenure, she played a crucial role in transitioning the Department of Athletics from NAIA to NCAA Division II. She also managed marketing and promotions, advised the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and chaired the Gender Equity & Diversity Inclusion Committee.
Rachel is deeply passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, actively championing these values throughout her career. Her dedication to these principles shines through in her leadership roles and her involvement in numerous initiatives and committees focused on promoting inclusivity within sports tourism. Rachel has significantly contributed to various committees, including the Rome Championships Committee, Connect Sports Advisory Board, and Georgia Sports. She currently serves as a board member for both Sports ETA and Visit Marietta Georgia, further exemplifying her commitment to fostering inclusive and thriving sports tourism communities.
A native of Hiawassee, GA, Rachel is a two-time graduate of Shorter University. She is a 2016 Leadership Cobb graduate and was honored as a LiveSafe Resources 2024 Woman of Achievement. Rachel is also an enthusiastic supporter of her hometown Atlanta teams.
