Kevin Duvall currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA). He is the third CEO in the organization’s history and brings more than 20 years of significant influence and oversight in various aspects of organizational management and strategic development at GWCCA.
With over 30 years of experience in live events and public facility management, Kevin has been a significant influence in the industry. His extensive expertise encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including campus and facility operations, event management, public safety, contract negotiations, capital planning, crisis management, and fostering key stakeholder relationships across public, political, business, economic development, and philanthropic sectors.
Kevin’s career began in 1993 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become the facility manager. In 2002, he transitioned to the Georgia Dome as Assistant General Manager, a role he held until 2006. His leadership and operational acumen led him to Georgia World Congress Center, where he served as Assistant General Manager from 2006 to 2009 before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, he notably led the decommissioning and demolition of the Georgia Dome from 2015 to 2017.
Kevin has been an active member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) since 1996. His involvement includes serving on IAVM’s Board of Directors and holding leadership positions as Chair of the Convention Centers/Exhibition Halls Committee, the Stadiums Committee, and the Industry Affairs Council.
