The Georgia Governor’s Tourism Conference will be held
September 28-30, 2026, on Jekyll Island.
The annual conference brings together more than 500 tourism and hospitality industry professionals from across the state to reconnect, exchange ideas, and learn from experts. Professionals and students from all sectors of the industry are invited to attend this educational and inspirational three-day event focused on exploring the latest trends, opportunities, and actionable strategies to drive brand and destination awareness and increase visitation to and within Georgia.
Full attendee registration includes admission to all general and breakout sessions, luncheons, an evening reception, and refreshment breaks.
Additional Pre-conference Events You Won't Want to Miss
Take time to grow your network at the pre-conference events. Each activity is $50, and proceeds support the Georgia Tourism Foundation. Add these events when you register for the conference.
Tees & Tiles – September 27, 3-5 p.m.
Begin the conference with a relaxed networking experience at the historic Jekyll Island Golf Club and newly restored Great Dunes Golf Course. Attendees of all skill levels can enjoy driving range activities with guidance from a golf professional or gather in the clubhouse for Mahjong with “expert” players.
Refreshments, light bites, and scenic island views provide the perfect setting to connect with colleagues before conference programming begins.
Beach 5K Fun Run/Walk – September 28, 8:30 a.m.
Start the day with a refreshing 3.1-mile fun run or walk along the beaches of Jekyll Island led by Explore Georgia team members. Participants will gather near The Westin Jekyll Island Beach Resort and Jekyll Island Village for a brief warm-up before enjoying a scenic route and returning to the starting point.
