Join us January 21, 2020

Join us for Tourism, Hospitality and Arts Day at the Capitol on January 21, 2020, as representatives gather to foster awareness and convey the value our respective industries bring to the state. The formal program, featuring remarks by Governor Brian Kemp and including unveiling the 2020 Explore Georgia Travel Guide and tourism check presentation, will take place from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the North Wing. Please plan to arrive by 9:30 a.m., and as always, allow ample time to park and get through security.

Tourism, Hospitality and Arts Day is an important opportunity for advocacy. If you are planning to visit with your elected officials during this annual event, you may want to access the tourism economic impact research tools available at Explore Georgia Tourism Industry Portal.

Tourism, Hospitality & Arts Day (THAD) at the Capitol

North Wing of Georgia State Capitol, 206 Washington St. SW

9 – 10 a.m. "Grab & Go" Breakfast

The Tourism Leadership Council will host a Grab & Go Breakfast to fuel everyone throughout the day! No registration is required, and the breakfast is open to legislators, staff and all THAD attendees.

10 a.m. Check Presentation and Explore Georgia Travel Guide Release

Join tourism, hospitality and arts professionals at the Georgia State Capitol to collectively foster awareness and convey the value of these industries to our state. Partners gather on the steps prior to 10 a.m.; group photo opportunity on the steps will follow the program.

2020 Explore Georgia Travel Guide Pickup

Georgia Public Broadcasting, 260 14th St. NW
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Georgia Public Broadcasting has once again graciously offered its building as a convenient spot for partners to pick up boxes of the 2020 Explore Georgia Travel Guide. Partners entering the GPB driveway will be directed to the loading area. Brittney Gray, Director of Visitor Services, will manage the distribution.
